Cole Memorial Dentistry

A Rabies Clinic will be held Saturday, August 26th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Ulysses Tri-Town Firehall. All dogs, cats, and ferrets that are at least 12 weeks old can be vaccinated against the rabies virus. The first time a dog or cat receives a vaccine, it is good for one year. Each time after that, the vaccination is good for three years. Ferrets must be vaccinated annually. All animals attending the clinic must be on a leash or in a container. Cost is $5.00 per animal. The clinic is sponsored by Dr. Lindsay Schwartzmeyer of the Potter County Veterinary Clinic, LLC.

Vivian Irene Short, age 89, of Westfield, PA

Vivian Irene Short

Vivian Irene Short, age 89, of Westfield, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro. 

Born October 12, 1927 in Westfield, she was the daughter of the late Cell and Mary (Butler) Perry.

Vivian worked as an aide at the Cowanesque Valley Old Folks Home. She loved baking bread and digging dandelions and enjoyed her grandchildren and family BBQ’s.

She is survived by her children, Randy G. Short of Westfield, Lori A. (John) Elliott of Osceola and Timothy W. (Bunnie) Short of Cohocton, NY; grandchildren, Sabrina Short, Jim Nelson, Travis Nelson, Ashley, Joshua, Kali, Elyssa and Heather Short; great grandchildren, Ryker, Savannah, Zepher, Serenity and Jaden; sister, Evelyn Newland of Ocala, FL; brother, James Perry of Lawrenceville; daughter in law, Judy Short of Calloway, VA; sister in law, Phyllis Perry of Penn Yan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Short; a son, Eddie C. Short; sister, Hazel Edgecomb and brothers, Bud and Bob Perry.

A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Osceola, PA on Monday at 2:00 PM with Ed Heyler officiating.
