Donald C. Simons, 91, of Coudersport, PA, formerly of Wellsboro, PA

Donald C. Simons

Donald C. Simons, 91, of Coudersport, PA, formerly of Wellsboro, PA passed away February 11, 2017 at Cole Memorial Hospital.

Born September 14, 1925 in Savonna, NY he was the son of George and Bessie Walker Simons. On November 5, 1960 he married Mary Vanetta Campbell Simons who survives.

Donald worked for many years as a sawyer in local lumber mills. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting automobiles, visiting with family and friends and bartering.

Donald is survived by his wife, daughters; Jeanette Wragg of Coudersport, PA and Patricia Simons of West Chester, PA, one granddaughter; Jenelle Stine of Leesport, PA. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Robert, Leland and Earl Simons.

There will be a Life Celebration gathering in memory of Donald, April 9, 2017 at the American Legion, Post 192, 2 Buffalo St., Coudersport, PA from noon-3pm. Burial in Tioga Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.

Contributions may be made to the American Legion Axillary, Unit 192, 2 Buffalo St., Coudersport, PA 16915.
