Lena T. Cary

Lena T. Cary, 89, of Lewis Run, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home.

She was born on January 1, 1928, a daughter of the late Sylvio and Angelina Vecellio.

She was a 1946 graduate of the St. Bernard School.

On July 3, 1954 in Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church she married Bruno P. Cary who preceded her in death on December 25, 2011.

She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Mrs. Cary loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She was employed by McCourt Label for twenty seven years until her retirement.

She is survived by four sons, Carmen (Annette Belleville) Cary of Custer City, Kevin Cary of Bradford, Scott (Tina) Cary of Custer City and Christopher (Jennifer) Cary of Stanley, NC; two brothers, Leo C. Vecellio of Derrick City and James (Debbie) Vecellio of Warren; one sister, Nellie Vecellio of Lewis Run; ten grandchildren, Michael (Brittany) Cary, Angela (Ryan) Marhefka, Chelsea (Andy) Smith, Nicole (Brett) Butler, Adam Cary, Dominic Cary, Joey Cary, Daniel Cary, Madelyn Cary and Grace Cary; two great grandsons, Cole and Chase Smith and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one brother, Henry Vecellio and one sister, Louise Dudick.

At her request there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Lewis Run, with the Rev. Raymond Gramata as celebrant.

Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.
