The Wellsboro Winter Celebration in downtown Wellsboro is a four-day fun time that opens this Thursday, Feb. 16 with the EMMF Jazz Fest featuring Gabe Stillman and the Billtown Giants performing feel-good, fire-breathin' Blues at 7:30 p.m. in the Coolidge Theatre at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro. The celebration continues this Friday, Feb. 17 with two events in the Deane Center. At 7 p.m. is Wine 101: Learn to Select and Pair Wines Like a Pro," a seminar with Holly Howell, a Finger Lakes region wine professional. "The Actual Dance," an inspirational, true story of a husband who serves as his wife's caregiver through the uncharted waters of breast cancer, will be given at 7:30 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17 and 18 and at 2:30 p.m. this Sunday, Feb. 19. Written and performed by Samuel A. Simon, this award-winning one-man play has captured the hearts of audiences across America as Sam shares his feelings about what’s happening as Susan goes through treatment. Saturday, Feb. 18 begins at 10:30 a.m. with the free Deane Little Beans Bubble Mania in the Coolidge Theatre at 104 Main Street. "The Bubble Man" will mix bubbles with elements of theater, storytelling, performance art and fun science facts during his interactive magical bubble extravaganza. This Saturday, get your Chili with a Chance of Chocolate Taste-Off $5 passport and sample 19 chilis at 18 downtown businesses from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., vote on the winners and enter the drawing to win one or more of 19 baskets of chocolates, each valued at $25. The Chamber will have passports at 114 Main Street from 9 a.m. to noon and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of Penn Oak Realty, Inc. at 65 Main Street.

Watch a 450-pound block of ice become a penguin, winter stag, snowman, swan, butterfly or a fish as an ice carver works his magic outdoors at six Main Street locations between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Doug "The Bubble Man" Rougeux stretches a bubble. He will create lots of unique bubbles for Deane Little Beans and their parents on Saturday, Feb. 18 in Wellsboro. In 2014, he won the Best of Family Children's Party Entertainer award in the Best of Syracuse® reader-generated poll trademarked by the Syracuse New Times.

The Klinefelter Trio includes Terry, pianist and singer; her husband Paul who plays double bass and their son, Christian, an up-and-coming young bass guitarist. A Steinway artist, Terry will be playing a Steinway D Concert Grand during their show this Friday, Feb. 17 in the Deane Center's Coolidge Theatre.
