Frances Gail Cochran, 70, of Coryville, Pa

Frances Gail Cochran

Frances Gail Cochran, 70, of Coryville, died Wednesday (April 19, 2017) in the UPMC-Hamot, Erie.

She was born March 13, 1947 in Olean, NY, a daughter of Hamilton E. and Arlena Canfield Rounsville. On Sept. 10, 1966, in Farmers Valley, she married Lawrence “Larry” B. Cochran, who survives.

Mrs. Cochran was a 1965 graduate of Smethport High School and worked at Jaguar in Smethport until it closed, and then for Zippo Manufacturing in Bradford until her retirement in 2008.

She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. It made her day when they would call to share news or just to talk. She was a talented quilter and spent a great deal of time working on projects for those she loved. She would do anything for anyone. She was loved by all who knew her and will be very dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:

two daughters: Lorraine “Rainey” G. (Jeffrey) Coles of Bradford and Kolene M.M. (John) O'Brien of Jamestown, NY

five grandchildren: Dustin and Olivia Coles, Daniel, Sean and Kylie O’Brien

two sisters: Wanda (Ken) Shelley of Smethport and Edwina (Robert) Freer of Eldred

two brothers: Dale (Sue) Rounsville of Eldred and Ricky (Tammy) Rounsville of Farmers Valley

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Tom Rounsville.
