According to state trooper Matthew Podolinski, Frost was traveling approximately 70 mph when the bear came out into the roadway. The right side of Frost's van struck and ran over the bear. The van came to a rest a short distance from where the bear was struck.

Frost was checked out at the scene by the Mansfield ambulance crew, however, Frost signed a refusual and was able to drive the damaged vehicle to Blossburg. The vehicle received right front end damage to the bumper, headlight and damage to the underside of his vehicle.

we have to many bears, they are looking for their favorite food source [ fawns ]. the deer population in the big woods is DOWN. PGC needs to bring the bear numbers down. you can't feed the birds or deer or turkey in the spring or fall. my suggestion is have a longer bear season or a concurrent buck and bear season.

I'm sure we'll see a police report in the next few days which states "known actor" or "known victim", No charges filed. (since state police can tell how fast a vehicle is/was traveling based on the scene). What a joke.
