Brilliant idea! Permanent store front owners are barely making it and the powers to be think opening a store now is an opportune time. Your stupidity is only surpassed by your ignorance PURE GENIUS!

I am all for long-range planning to effectively pursue community and economic development. But this is going about it all wrong, and I know whereof I speak. What you need in Potter County is a strategic, proven approach and a promotion like this might be part of it, but not with political motivations or ties to it, and especially with no details or any context as to how this fits in with broader strategies. There is mention of a committee, but nobody knows what it is, who is on it, or how it is tied in with the Chamber of Commerce or other business organizations or Borough or County leaders. This is sort of like scratching the surface, and just throwing something out there willy-nilly. It does not send the right message to your citizens, or to prospective business owners, or others who are forming an image of your town and your county. What I recommend is getting the key players at the same table and developing a short and long range plan and then following it and tweaking it professionally. I say this because I really do care and there are so many ways this can be done successfully, but this is not one of them.
