Galeton is the Gateway to the Dark Skies

 Dark Skies Shuttle and Training

The inaugural trip of the North Central Touring bus shuttled local business owners/representatives to Cherry Springs for training on the Dark Sky Park. The trainings were held on Thursday, May 4 with one session in the morning and one in the evening. The
purpose was to provide local businesses with the knowledge to accurately answer questions for visitors to our area that are interested in the Dark Skies at Cherry Springs State Park. The trainings are part of the Dark Sky Orientation Program in partner with the PA Route 6 Alliance, CSSP Dark Sky Fund/ Association, DCNR, PA Wilds and Galeton Development Corporation.
