A DIFFERENT KIND OF LUNCH: Elk Co. man charged with having lunch bag packed with meth and pot

By Katie Weidenboerner katiew@thecourierexpress.com
DuBois Courier Express

KERSEY — An Elk County man found passed out in his car with grams of meth and pot packed in a lunch bag has been jailed on drug charges.

Dennis Michael Cressley, 57, 1438 Million Dollar Highway, Kersey, is charged by state police with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, as well as misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance.

Charges were filed June 15, however the criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause were unable to be released from District Judge Mark Jacob’s St. Marys office until June 19.

According to court records, around 8:30 p.m. June 12, police found Cressley passed out in the driver’s seat of his running car in the 400 block of Main Street, Kersey, in Fox Township.

When police approached the vehicle, they found that below his left hand was a glass smoking pipe and in his right hand was a black burning torch.

Police seized the torch and pipe. When they patted him down they found a large amount of cash in Cressley’s front pocket. Read more...

All I can say is, it's about damn time. He has been selling drugs for a very, very long time and I am glad he finally got caught! Throw away the key and leave him sit in jail so he doesn't get out and do the same thing all over again like the rest of the drug dealers. They never seem to learn a lesson, they go to jail for 6 months then get out and do it again. It's time to clean up our communities.

Ok , I understand he was drunk and maybe drugged, but what does the "large amount of cash in his pocket" have to do with it? Is it illegal now to carry alot of cash with you?
My,, how the police sensationalize everything. Maybe they should point out that he was listening to Heavy Metal music, his car windows were tinted, and he had a ponytail...
what a cheap write-up of a report.

Well, if you knew this cat you would know that him having a large amount of cash means he is doing something illegal cause he sure as hell didn't work for it....

Well since you apparently don't know this "cat" let me fill you in real quick, as much as I think he should be in trouble for the drugs it is just plain ridiculous to even bring up the "large amount of cash" since he in fact has worked his entire life. He currently has a job so maybe he just cashed his paycheck. I totally agree that this is just a cheap write-up of a report and people who feed into it make it worse.

Poster 12:30 before you stand up for this turd and I know him well he is every bit of a turd. Maybe you should know this is at least the 3rd time they have found him in this shape. And the last time he had his infant child with him in the car in the back seat shitty diaper and crying while he is passed the hell out. Yea outstanding turd . Go to jail where you belong and stay there. Maybe someone will beat you like you beat your druggie old lady. And I repeat TURD!

Is this the same guy who used to live in Emporium??

I'm not standing up for anybody so you may want to reread what I posted. I believe he should be in trouble and I know this man very well also. I know what happened when he had his kid with him which is why he still doesn't have custody of his child, which is best for the child. And he should be in jail, no argument, I'm just saying the large amount of cash thing is just stupid to even bring up. I know a lot of people who carry a bunch of cash on them. And just FYI the infant you are referring to didn't have a shitty diaper. I don't care how well you think you know him, I know him better and I'm hoping jail helps him turn his life around and he should never get his kid back and neither should his druggie girlfriend. Just saying it's pointless to bring up the load of cash.

Perhaps the large amount was in reference to something he sold? Just saying....

But they didn't get him with selling anything? They found him passed out not making a sale. I mean it might be from a deal but they can't prove it so they shouldn't even bring it up is all I'm saying. Like seriously I'm not defending him or anything because he should be sitting in jail for a very long time but unless they caught him in a sale they shouldn't just assume the cash has to do with anything.
