ALMA — A Shinglehouse, Pa. boy remained in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo Saturday night after a two-car accident the previous night that involved six people.

State Police said they didn’t know how serious injuries were, but that there were no fatalities as of Saturday.

At around 7:16 p.m. Friday, Amity-based State Police said, Laura Bock, 57, of Wellsville, was sitting in her car on the shoulder of the road and its lights flashing and was on a cell phone call. The car was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Seth Gibbons, 18, of Shinglehouse, Pa.

There were no passengers in the Bock vehicle, State Police said. The Gibbons vehicle had four passengers in it: a 15-year-old Bolivar girl; Tatum Giles, 18, of Bolivar; John Jackson, 17, of Shinglehouse, Pa.; and Zach Jones, 17, of Shinglehouse.

Jackson was flown to ECMC, where he was in critical condition. The Bolivar girl, whose name State Police declined to release because of her age, was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Bock was taken by ambulance to Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, State Police said.  More...
