Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Eastman CELEBRATING 70 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

 Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Eastman will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 24th from 11 am to 1 pm. in the Port Allegany United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.

All are welcome to stop by and join in their joy.

The following appeared in the June 12, 1947 issue of the Port Allegany Reporter Argus:

"The marriage of Miss Dolores Botera, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Botera of Keating Summit to Lloyd E. Eastman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lessie Eastman of Wrights took place on Sunday, June 8, 1947, in Montoursville, PA. Rev. Robert E. Breth officiated the single-ring ceremony being used.

The bride was attractively gowned in a navy dress with pink accessories and wore a corsage of pink roses.

The bride is a graduate of Port Allegany High School Class of 1942 and has been employed at Sylvania Electric Company in Emporium.

Mr. Eastman was graduated from Port Allegany High School in the Class of 1941 and has been employed for a number of years as a clerk at the First National Bank in Port Allegany.

Both are popular members of the younger set and have hosts of friends throughout the section who extend congratulations and best wishes." 

Mrs. Eastman spent most of her married life as a homemaker. After raising her family, she worked as a secretary for the Liberty School in the Port Allegany School District. Mr. Eastman worked for the First National Bank in Port Allegany for 64 years having served in several positions from teller to President/Chairman of the Board. 

Over the years the couple volunteered throughout the community and at their church. They were also honored with an Unsung Hero Award. They are still active members of the Port Allegany United Methodist Church.

The couple has four children - Lance (Debbie) Eastman of Allegany, NY; Pam (Mike, Sr.) Fischer of Port Allegany; Dr. Kevin (Dr. Jackie) Eastman of Savannah, GA; and Dr. Alan (Denise) Eastman of Homer City, PA; eleven grandchildren - Dr. Jason (Jennifer) Eastman of Myrtle Beach, SC; Alana (Tony) Iapalucci of Erie Logan Eastman of Los Angeles, CA; Mike, Jr. (Charlene) Fischer, Cathleen (Jerry) Bosworth, Alexis (Matt) Reed all of Port Allegany, Kacie (Jered) Fischer-Lindsey of Midway, FL; Noah Eastman of Savannah, GA; and Sophia Eastman, David Eastman and Diana Eastman, all of Homer City, PA. They are great-grandparents to James (Tanner) Bosworth of Austin, TX; Matthew (Corine) Bosworth, Amber Fischer, Sasha Fischer, Farrah Fischer, Leah Fischer, Makayla Alcorn, Lillianne Reed, and Christian Reed, all of Port Allegany, Xavier Fischer-Lindsey and Kobe Fischer-Lindsey of Midway, FL; and Zelma Eastman of Myrtle Beach, SC and Dominic Iapalucci of Erie; and great-great grandparents to Elijah and Callen Bosworth and Amelia Fischer, all of Port Allegany.
