FNN Breaking News (c) 2017.

During the early morning hours of Friday, June 23, 2017, Wellsboro, Middlebury and Morris fire crews were dispatched to a structure fire in Delmar Township.

FNN was able to confirm that Wellsboro fire personnel were on scene of a structure fire around 8:00AM in which smoke was reported coming from the basement of the structure. A request for a second alarm was made by 8:04AM, where as, Middlebury and Morris fire units were dispatched for mutual aide.

FNN received word that the fire was at the home of Willard and Nora Hackman which is located on the Dean Hill Road.

Firefighters' quick response and fast action allowed them to have the fire under control within 11 minutes by 8:29AM. The fire was reported out 7 minutes later or by 8:36AM. Fire crews were at the scene of the fire approximately one hour and all units were cleared from the scene by 9:06AM.

The two story 1901 house was said to have been saved, it is unknown how serious the fire was or how much damage was done to the home at this time.
