HYATT HOWE BAND JULY 1 CONCERT

The Hyatt Howe Band will perform classic rock, blues and original music during their concert on Saturday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Gallery at the Warehouse Theatre, 3 Central Avenue in Wellsboro.
Band members are: Kevin Hyatt, lead guitar and vocals; Tom Howe, bass guitar, keys and vocals; and David Loomis, percussion and vocals. Hyatt and Howe live in Mansfield, Pa. and Loomis in Troy, Pa.

In 2010, Hyatt and Howe formed the band. With similar backgrounds in rock and blues, the duo felt they had a good foundation for a solid R&B band. In 2012, David Loomis joined as the band's full-time drummer. "He added the key percussion element needed to take the band to the next level," Hyatt said.

As one of the top R&B (rhythm and blues) bands in Pennsylvania, they were invited to enter the 2012 Billtown Blues Challenge. In 2014, they won first place in the annual battle of the bands at the Maple Fest in Troy and in 2015 performed again in Billtown at the battle of the bands blues challenge. They play regularly at Yorkholo Brewing Company in Mansfield and at various events around the region.

Howe and Loomis have formal degrees in music. Howe has played with the Ella Fitzgerald band and shared the stage with other equally impressive musicians. Loomis' musical resume includes serving as percussionist with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra. Hyatt holds a BA degree, writes and produces the band’s original music, and was lead guitarist with bands on two ships during his enlistment with the U.S. Navy.
