James C. Renner

James C. Renner, 44, of Champlin Hill Rd., Smethport, PA, passed away Sunday (June 18, 2017) in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

Born April 6, 1973, he was a son of Frederick D. and Jane E. Arnold Renner. On June 8, 2001, he married Jessica L. Wymer, who survives.

James was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1991.

He was a member of the St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church of Port Allegany. 

James was an outdoorsman who enjoyed, hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, and four wheeling; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Jessica, and his parents, Frederick and Jane Renner of Port Allegany, are a son, Jacob J.M. Renner; two daughters, Jenna L. Renner and Jillian E.E. Renner all of Smethport; a brother, Todd F. (Karen) Renner of Rochester, NY; a sister, Alisa D. Bennett of Smethport; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday (June 23, 2017) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, with Robert Johnson, officiating.

Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Prayers for Jim's family, A very sweet young man, heaven gained an angel....many prayers for Henna & his precious children.

Jim had the gentlest soul and kindest heart. He talked about his family all of the time and about the things he enjoyed doing with his children. He will be dearly missed. Laurie Schultz
