Samuel G. Langianese, 93, of Lewis Run, PA

Samuel G. Langianese

Samuel G. Langianese, 93, of Lewis Run, PA,  passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at his home.

He was born on August 7, 1923 in Lewis Run, a son of the late Michele and Josephine Benedict Langianese.

He was a graduate of the former St. Bernard School.

WWII Veteran
On May 10, 1947 in Lewis Run he married Florence Ives who preceded him in death on December 7, 2016.

He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran who served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.

After being honorable discharged from the military Mr. Langianese worked for the former Hanley Brick Company, Lewis Run, and also at various local bars as a bartender. He then got a job working for American Airlines and moved to Chicago where he worked for twenty two years until his retirement at which point he moved back to Lewis Run.

He is survived by one brother, Matt Langianese of Beaumont, TX; one sister, Jean Senuta of Olean, NY and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by three brothers.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Lewis Run with the Rev. Leo Gallina as celebrant.

Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the St. Bernard Elementary School Library, 450 West Washington St., Bradford, PA 16701.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.
