Trinity UMC in Olean to welcome Pastor Sue Hadley

OLEAN, N.Y., June 29, 2017— A new pastor will soon be basking in the light beamed through the historic Trinity United Methodist Church stain-glass windows at 131 North 9th St.

Rev. Susan Hadley will take the church pulpit for the first time July 2 as she begins her tenure as Trinity United Methodist Church’s full-time pastor.

Hadley had been serving Seneca Falls United Methodist Church in the Finger Lakes region since July of 2014.

Rev. Hadley will lead a spirited service each Sunday at 10 a.m. that will incorporate both contemporary worship music and hymns and special music from the Trinity choir, directed by Nancy Hefti.

“My Husband Tim and I are in awe of the stain-glass windows, and the sanctuary is just lovely,” Hadley said in a letter following a church visit. “It is a beautiful space in which to worship the lord.”

Hadley earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from SUNY Fredonia before continuing on to obtain her Master’s of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH.

Married for 22 years, Hadley and her husband have four adult children and six grandchildren.

Trinity invites all to join us in welcoming Pastor Hadley Sunday, July 2 at 10 a.m. as she begins what is sure to be a long, fruitful and joy-filled tenure at Trinity United Methodist Church.
