Bridge Replacement to Start July 17 in Clara Township

Detour will be in place from July 17 through August 25

Coudersport, PA – Beginning July 17, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be working to replace a bridge in Clara Township, Potter County.

The state-owned bridge spans Bradley Run on Clara Road (Township Road 531), about a mile south of the village of Clara.

The current 27-foot bridge dates from 1952 and carries an average of 200 vehicles daily. Replacement will allow PennDOT to remove the bridge from Potter County’s structurally deficient list.

Replacement work will require closing the bridge, with an official detour in place for the duration of the project, which is expected to last until August 25. Detour signing will direct drivers to use Township Road 336, Township Road 306, Township Road 343, and Township Road 531. Drivers familiar with the area may choose alternate routes.

PennDOT will open the new box culvert and roadway ahead of schedule if work progress allows. Local residents will be able to access their homes during the replacement work.

PennDOT Potter County Maintenance will perform all the work, including excavation of the old box culvert, back-filling of the new box culvert, installing the new box, paving of approaches and roadway, and installation of guide rail. All work is weather dependent,

Drivers are reminded to follow detour signs, use caution in and around work zones, and always buckle up.

The replacements of the bridges started 2-3 years ago. So how is that Trump ?

Haha. That's awesome, the trump supporters have to try to attach his name to something, anything because he has done NOTHING!! Other than lie about his collusion with a FOREIGN GOVERNMENT in our FREE elections. Embarrass our country, will soon cause many farmers to suffer economic losses because they can no longer trade with Europe, Asia, South America, Canada. Maybe the bumpkins in Potter County will step up and buy 10,000 ton each of corn and soybeans to help them out? The walls of justice are closing in on him and his family. Think of a wild animal's behavior when it's trapped and cornered. That's what you will start to see more of from trump and his posse....very soon! Come on 25th!!
