Friends Group to meet Saturday Morning, July 22

Dutch Oven Cooking Program
There will be a meeting of the Friends of Lyman Run on Saturday morning at 9:00 am.

Trail Clearing
Refreshments will be served followed by a short work bee to check park trails for any maintenance needs.

This is an activity the entire family can participate in, And if you are not already a member of the FOLR, this would be a great opportunity to join our volunteer group that is dedicated to the stewardship of Lyman Run State Park through support of programs and projects.

FOLR is also a chapter of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation. The group will meet near the picnic pavilion Saturday morning, or at the beach house if it is raining. Please bring rain gear if needed and work gloves. We will split into teams and check the trails for any sticks and debris that can be moved easily or will report any major maintenance issues to park staff.

This will be in place of our regular 4th Tuesday of the month evening meeting. We will continue to meet for mini work bees until the weather turns cold.

 Memberships are available at many levels. Individual - $10, Family - $20, Non-profits - $35., Supporting (recommended!)- $50., Business - $100. and Lifetime - $250.

This year the group is sponsoring Kayak Nature tours, Dutch Oven Cooking classes and the return of Spooktacular!
