A Rabies Clinic will be held Saturday, August 26th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Ulysses Tri-Town Firehall. All dogs, cats, and ferrets that are at least 12 weeks old can be vaccinated against the rabies virus. The first time a dog or cat receives a vaccine, it is good for one year. Each time after that, the vaccination is good for three years. Ferrets must be vaccinated annually. All animals attending the clinic must be on a leash or in a container. Cost is $5.00 per animal. The clinic is sponsored by Dr. Lindsay Schwartzmeyer of the Potter County Veterinary Clinic, LLC.

G. Roy ACKLEY, 87, of Westfield, PA

G. Roy ACKLEY

G. Roy ACKLEY, 87, of Westfield, PA, died Monday, July 17, 2017. 

 Born March 6, 1930, in Westfield, he was the son of Wallace M. and Nellie King Ackley. On June 7, 1952, in Wellsboro, PA, he married the former June Roby, who survives. 
Korean War Veteran

A Korean War Veteran, he served honorably with the US Air Force from 1950 -- 1953. 

He and his wife owned and operated Beech Lake Farm for 45 years. 

Surviving besides his wife, June, of 65 years, are: three sons, Michael Ackley of Westfield, Phillip (Melanie) Ackley of Sabinsville, and Steven (Marie) Ackley of Wellsville, NY; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Wallace Ackley, Jr.; and a sister, Elizabeth Hollenbaugh. 

Friends may call Friday, July 21, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday in Ackley Cemetery. The Rev. Kyle Horton will officiate. 

Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Tioga County Honor Guard.
