Patricia Ann Schweikart, 70, of St. Marys, formerly of Keating Summit and Brandy Camp, PA, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 13, 2017. 

Born April 16, 1947, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Richard and Doris Frost Mahon. With her mother’s death with her birth, she was raised by her grandmother, Isabelle Mahon until she was thirteen. After that she was raised by her Aunt and Uncle Emelda & Charles “Bill” Glover.

She attended Austin Area High School, graduating in 1966. On June 25, 1966, in the United Methodist Church in Austin, PA, she married Roger E. Schweikart, who survives.

While her children were growing up, she enjoyed camping at the TeePee Campground in Roulette. Along with her husband, she owned Schweikart Catering. Throughout the 1990’s, they were regular vendors at the McKean Co. and Cameron Co. Fairs and served dinners for many weddings throughout the area.

With her family, she enjoyed local stock car racing. Until recent health issues, she had been a regular visitor to the McKean County Raceway since the 1990’s, watching her son and later her grandson race. She also worked in the pit booth at Allegheny Mtn. Raceway and enjoyed working with all the racecar drivers and teams.

Patricia was a lifelong member of the Keating Summit United Methodist Church and attended Brandy Camp United Methodist Church. She also served for several years on the Fundraising Committee for the Elk County Humane Society and took extraordinary pride organizing the annual Elk County Race Car Show, one of the committee’s fundraisers.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Richard Mahon as well as her Uncle Bill.

In addition to her husband Roger, she is survived by her sons, Roger E. Schweikart Jr. of Austin, PA and Richard C. Schweikart of St. Marys, PA, as well as her Aunt Emelda Glover of Austin, PA, two step-brothers, Paul Glover (Mary)of Bradford, PA and Gerald Glover (Cindy)of Emporium, PA, three grandchildren Mark Schweikart of Port Allegany, PA, and Stacie Schweikart and Randi Moate of Emporium, PA, three great grandchildren, Mashayla, Janessa and Alexia, and several brothers and sisters in law.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Kersey United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Karen Trask and Rev. Lance Tucker, officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Austin, PA.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday, July 15, 2017, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Brandy Camp United Methodist Church, Rt. 219, Brandy Camp, PA 15822 or the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
