Potter County Commissioners Meeting Agenda 7-6-17

Since the Commissioners seem to be able week after week and month after month to motion, second and unanimously approve all matters of business before their board with hardly ever a descent, perhaps they would weigh in on the Arboretum/Sheetz issue currently handcuffing the Boro of Coudersport. What say you folks? Expand tax base and local employer? Add services? Or save the memorial plantings? Preserve the greenery? Where is our local leadership? Sell, don't sell, sell....do nothing. Conflicts of interest, ethics violations, members motivated by greed, others castigated for voting their conscience. What say you Commissioners? Weigh in on the controversy or placidly motion, second and unanimously preserve your posterity.

If the pay stays at low level mgr range, what you see is what you will get; and Boro pays Ole Dan G enough to know better. Boro has made a mess of the whole damn thing. Toss the group and start over. Build a new Sheetz, and move the flowers and shrubs. If you aren't going to keep the railcars nice get rid of them. The one out back of the BP is a disgrace, and the caboose is rotting.

Agree 12:47 its a shame they cant buy the BP, expand the business for gods sake its one of only a few surviving in town, who is reporting on this sham to the inquiring minds?

As far as I know 8:50 the county government has nothing to do with this and so the commissioners have kept their nose out of the borough's business which is how it should be. The Redevelopment Authority tried to get involved and that was way out of line. The members listed on their website are David Buckler, Phillip Vaughan, Jeff Wilcox, Terry Goodnough and Shawn Wolfinger. Those five should have kept their nose out of borough's business too.

850 needs a Civics lesson. Why did the Redev Authority quintet get involved? Never thought of Buckler as a fan of big government intruding, buying up properties and invading the private sector over and over again.
