People of God are on the move. Yea! This new worship center, the Gold Church and others are rising at a time when some think organized religion is on the way out. Not in Potter County/God's Country! I do have a question though. More real estate in our county is coming off the tax rolls. Did you get your school tax bill a couple weeks ago? Yikes! Throw in all the land the Housing Authority is buying up and knocking down buildings. Don't forget apartment houses and pastor homes and parking lots and other property owned by churches. Many of those properties don't even qualify for tax exemptions unless the laws have changed since I used to stay on top of these things.

LETS NOT FORGET THE MANY PROPERTIES THE County Commissioners own that are OFF the tax rolls, and the multiple property owners they screwed by FILLING the Gunz building. Wait, is this a platform for political griping or a congratulations to the Free Methodist for expanding their outreach to the lost, oops, my apologies....there CERTAINLY IS A price to pay for investing in the future.

Sorry 7:25 but that song has been played on here before and we're not seeing any changes. It's the Redevelopment Authority (not Housing) and you can write about it until you are blue in the face and it looks like nobody cares. Buckler, Wolfinger, Wilcox, Goodnough and Vaughan are the busiest real estate company in Potter County and, get this, using taxpayer's money to buy property that gets taken off the tax rolls. Have you considered maybe talking to those guys or going to their meetings? I assume they are open to the public. Nuff said.
