Joan “Joanie” Steadman, 53, of Galeton, PA

Joan “Joanie” Steadman

Joan “Joanie” Steadman, 53, of Galeton, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. 

Born June 18, 1964, she was a daughter of the late Harold H. Steadman and Susie (Saxton) Steadman of Galeton, who survives. 

Joanie attended Galeton High School. She worked at RightWay in Galeton and was also a bartender. 

Joanie enjoyed crocheting, reading, completing jigsaw puzzles and playing bingo with her friends. 

Surviving in addition to her mother, Susie Steadman, are four brothers, John and David Steadman, both of Galeton, Keith Steadman, Whitesville, NY, and Duane Steadman, Nevada; three sisters, Carolyn Steadman, Lake Wales, FL, Cindy Steadman, Enola, PA, and Gladys Sunderlin, Galeton, a brother-in-law, Charles Huntington, Galeton; and several nieces and nephews. Joanie was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Huntington. 

Friends may call at the Hess Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Galeton, on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00am with a Funeral Service following at 11:00am. Pastor Rick Lehman will officiate. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Galeton Library or the Potter County Hospice.

So very grateful that i got the chance to spend time with Joanie before her passing. She was a great freind that i will miss deeply. She will be forever in my heart. R.I.P my freind....I love you ��
