Meeting Thursday On Proposal To Discharge Treated Fracking Waste Into Allegheny River In Coudersport

There will be a meeting of concerned citizens Thursday evening at the Crittenden to present the information on the proposed Epiphany treatment plant. The proposal submitted to the D.E.P. will be available as well as a power point time line of the process up to this point. "An informed pubic is necessary for a democracy to function" ...look forward to seeing you there.

You cant stop progress, are they hiring yet ?

Who created the Powerpoint? Who is informing the public of what facts? Pretty sure the information is available to the public. Will ALL parties be represented for q & a, or is this another Triple Divide crying session?

I would be more concerned about Allegheny river water being pumped into the ground around my well.
Treated frack water is like spring water compared to the Allegheny river.

The towns pump "treated" waste water from the sewage plants back into the river, so.

Unfortunately, $ are going to outweigh sense. The plant will go in, the kids will get sick - maybe not now, but at some future date, maybe even as adults - and everyone will say "why didn't they know how bad this is?"

Hey Nuff Sed, what exactly is so wrong with the Allegheny river around your place that you would welcome frack water ?

Maybe someone should check what happened with the Warren Treatment Plant when they "treated" and dumped unconventional frack water into the Allegheny and the levels of radioactivity measured by DEP and oh they aren't there anymore.

Very disappointing that a public meeting would be called to disseminate inaccurate, distorted or partial information as well as misinformation and scare tactics piled on top of it. If you wanted to have accurate information, then you could feature speakers with scientific knowledge and education, representatives from DEP, representatives from the company or companies involved, engineers, people from the township where this facility is planned and people with responsibility for the sewage treatment plant. What are the professional qualifications or actual roles of those who are going to speak at this gathering?

This is nice but what about the concern for the amount of polluted storm water that is discharged into the Allegheny by the residents and townships of Potter County?

Kinda like our Government hiding the fact and lying about the giant planet & dead star that is barreling towards earth.

This is directed at 12:24:00 PM,

All of the data presented was obtained through meetings with official reps, online research and actual file reviews with state and local departments. Nothing has been doctored or interpreted. No conlusions were presented at this meeting.

Had you had enough intellectual integrity to see what's being discussed with an open mind, you'd now know yourself that nothing inaccurate at all was disseminated to anyone.

As for CAMA, all indications are that they didn't want this information made public.

For whatever reason.
