Cancer Bike Riders Come To Coudersport Tuesday

65 Bicycle Riders will travel through Western Pennsylvania Monday and Tuesday. Please use caution on Rt. 59 or Rt. 6

The Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer or PPRAC is a six-day biennial ride raising funds for the American Cancer Society and Dream Come True. To date, the PPRAC has raised almost $600,000 to help fight cancer in the Lehigh Valley Community

Penn State Behrend will be the starting point for the Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer XIII (PPRAC), a six-day bicycle ride held every other year to benefit the Lehigh Valley Unit of the American Cancer Society. Most of the riders live in eastern Pennsylvania. 65 riders will participate in this year's ride.

They will start arriving at Junker Center about 4 pm Sunday. At about 6:30 pm, Ricardo’s Restaurant will deliver and serve a spaghetti dinner. The riders will spend the night on the Junker Center gym floor. To keep expenses down, PPRAC relies on donated lodging and food.

About 6:30 am Monday, the riders will begin a staggered departure for Presque Isle State Park via the Bayfront Highway bike path. After a ride around the park they will continue to their next overnight stop, in Warren.

From Warren, the PPRAC riders will overnight in Coudersport on Tuesday, and continue on to Mansfield, Williamsport, Berwick, and Palmerton.
