Causer, Scarnati Announce McKean County Fair Grant

The McKean County Fair Association has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the state for improvements at the fair grounds, Rep. Martin Causer (R-Turtlepoint) and Sen. Joe Scarnati (R-Brockway) announced today.
The grant will be used to replace fencing around the 40-acre fair property, which will improve safety at the site. The total project cost is $52,000.
“The fair is one of the biggest and most popular events in McKean County for people of all ages,” Causer said. “Investing in our fairgrounds is a wise investment for the state.”
Scarnati agreed. “One of the best things about summer in Pennsylvania is our county fairs. They offer a chance to celebrate our farming roots and to recognize the important role agriculture continues to play in our communities today.”

The grant was awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture through its Capital Improvement Matching Grant program. The funding supports improvement and maintenance projects at fairs across the Commonwealth.
