Hatboro, Abington Men Injured In Coudersport Crash

COUDERSPORT -- One downstate man was seriously injured and another suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Route 872 in Homer Township, Potter County, Friday evening.

A medical helicopter flew Robert C. McRobbie, 41, of Hatboro, just north of Philadelphia, to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville following the 5:15 p.m. crash.

Michael J. Garofalo, 42, of Abington, was treated at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport and released. Abington is also a Philadelphia suburb.

State Police at Mansfield said McRobbie was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe owned by Garofalo south on Route 872 and, for an unknown reason, lost control of the vehicle.

The Tahoe went off the east side of the highway, up an embankment and rolled over several times, ejecting McRobbie.

Coudersport firefighters and fire police assisted troopers at the scene. Police said an investigation of the crash continues and that charges would likely be filed in the case. Information from Star Gazette
