Potter County Court Report Via WFRM News

In recent Potter County Court action, a Coudersport man has been sentenced for his part in a burglary taking place during May 2006 at the Austin Game Room. Kyle Woodring, 20, pleaded guilty last week to burglary and theft and was ordered to spend 9 to 23-1/2 months in jail; pay all court costs and fees; perform 25 hours of community service and make restitution of $530. According to Potter County District Attorney Dawn Fink, Woodring and a co-defendant stole about $735 in coins from pool tables and machines after forcing their way into the building. The defendants caused about $350 in damage during the burglary.

Another Coudersport resident will be spending 72 hours to six months in jail for DUI. Benjamin Brent, 24, was arrested this past August 12 when Coudersport Borough Police, while on patrol, observed his vehicle swerving in his own lane and crossing the center line on Route 6 near Toles Hollow. Chemical testing revealed an alcohol level of .18%, well above the legal limit of .08%. Brent was also ordered to pay a fine of $1025, pay all court costs and fees, attend alcohol safe driving school and the DUI victim impact panel.
