WESB News: 05/02/08 - State Awards Tax Relief From Gaming Revenue
Property owners in the Bradford Area School District will receive a $326 property tax break for the 2008-09 school year.
The Taxpayer Relief Act of 2006 distributes gaming revenue from state casinos to it's school districts each year. The savings will come in the form of a tax credit on a homeowner's property tax bill.
Kane Area School District residents will save $163, Otto-Eldred $173, Port Allegany $220, and Smethport residents will save $194.
Potter County residents will save an average of $220 on their property taxes.
