The first two days of the 175-mile-long bicycle trip were hell.

The five cyclists pumped up and down the leg-burning Pocono Mountains and cranked through 100-degree heat that made the road tar bubble.

Heat and hills aren't unusual for cross-country cyclists, especially around here. But what's unique about these riders is their ages. They're all in their 70s and 80s. The oldest is 87. They started the trip a week ago today in Colmar, Pa., 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia. On Friday, they ended at Alfred University, in Allegany County, for their 50th college class reunion.

An amazing feat for guys in their 70s and 80s. Read more.
