Ellen T. Weeks, 87, Roulette, PA

Roulette - Ellen T. Weeks, 87, of Roulette, died Tuesday (June 10, 2008) at her residence in Roulette.

She was born Jan 28, 1921 in East Brady, PA, the daughter of Joseph M. and Nora Butler Thielges, On June 19, 1943 in Fort Eustis, VA, she married Carl Allen Weeks, who died Dec. 24 1976.

Mrs. Weeks was a 1938 graduate of Roulette High School and a 1942 Graduate of the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a First Lieutenant in the US Army Nurse Corps serving in Africa and Italy during WWII .

Mrs. Weeks was a Registered Nurse, employed by Charles Cole Memorial Hospital for 20 years

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Roulette; Roulette Catholic Women’s Club; Catholic Daughters of America, Court Doyle #932 of Coudersport; Roulette Fire Dept. Auxiliary and Pennsylvania Nurse Association.

She is survived by two daughters: Barbara (Robert) Hide of Broken Arrow, OK, Diane (Michael) Moolick of Dalton, PA; three sons: Francis (Mary Jane) Weeks of Roulette, PA, Gregory (Margaret) Weeks of Dallas, TX, Norman (Diane) Weeks of Easton, PA 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by he parents, husband and a brother, Dale Thielges.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2008 from 2 - 4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N Main St, Port Allegany, PA.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 14, 2008 in St Gabriel's Catholic Church with the Rev. John J. Murphy, pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in the St Eulalia's Cemetery, Coudersport.

A Christian Wake service will be held on Friday at 3:30 pm in the Funeral Home.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Potter County Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to Nurse Scholarship Fund c/o Fund Development at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital.
