Marathon winner was Christian Byler, 24, of Harrison Valley, who literally ran away with the championship. He posted a time of 2:42.33 in sweltering heat and high humidity. He ran like a man on a mission.

Byler is the first God's Country Marathon winner from God's Country; it took 34 years for a Potter Co
unty resident to win the local race.

Runner-up Thomas Lipsie, 40, of Indiana, Pa., a former God's Country Marathon winner, was a distant second at 3:06.42.

Women's winner was Susan Kra
mer, 43, of Harrisburg, who had a time of 3:33.51 and was eighth overall.

First local finisher after Byler was 38-year-old pharmacist Christie Keglovits of Coudersport, who was third in the women's division and 13th overall at 3:42.19.Postmaster Steve Sevinsky crosses finish line
