12 Year Old Potter-McKean All Stars Win District 15 Championship

The Potter McKean 12 year old All Star little league team finished District 15 play last night undefeated as they beat Susquehanna City 7-2 in Shinglehouse. This earns them a district championship and a trip to the Section 3 tournament that will be held on their home field.

Tommy Walker pitched a complete game gem only giving up one earned run over 6 innings. The game ended on a double play, which was Walker’s 85th pitch of the contest. After giving up an unearned run in the top of the first, Potter McKean’s Ethan Hite connected on a two-run home run in the bottom of the frame to give them a 2-1 lead. Cameron Kockler hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the second in a four run inning for Potter McKean. Hite finished the game with two hits and three RBIs.

They will take on the District 13 champion (Berwick or Milton) on Monday afternoon (7/14) in Shinglehouse to kick off Section 3 play. The consolation bracket for the double-elimination Section 3 tournament will be played in Austin.
