Troopers reported Joseph R. Reiner, 18, of Newtown, Pa., will be charged with purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages and restrictions on alcoholic beverages. The charges stem from an underage alcohol consumption incident at 2:30 a.m. Saturday at a seasonal residence near Route 244, Oswayo.

Troopers reported that between 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Saturday, a person(s) smashed a black mailbox on Burrows Road, Sweden. The person(s) also tore out and damaged a stop sign owned by the township of Sweden and drove through fields on Sweden Hill Road owned by a a Coudersport, Pa. man. Troopers are investigating a crash that happened at 8:30 p.m. Friday on Route 1001, Sweden. An unidentified driver lost control of a vehicle and it crossed into the other lane. It crossed back over and struck a guard rail. It struck the rail three more times, then went across the road and struck an embankment. The vehicle fled the scene. Troopers reported that between July 7 and Friday, a person(s) entered a Mount Bethel, Pa. man’s seasonal residence at the corner of Sunnydale and Canada Hollow Road, Sharon and took $2,310 worth of items. The items were a blue table saw (valued at $300), an orange rigid jointer/planer ($375), a red air compressor ($200);, various hand tools (total value $200), a red weed wacker ($160), a “slide” saw ($450), a chain saw with a 12-inch bar and carbon blade ($375) and a 100,000-BTU space heater ($250). The items belonged to both the Bethel man and a Shinglehouse, Pa. man. Anyone with information should call troopers at (814) 274-8690.

Troopers charged Derrick M. Gleason, 23, of Coudersport, Pa., was charged with terroristic threats, false alarms to agencies of public safety, flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment and disorderly conduct after an incident between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 15 at his residence. He was arraigned by District Magistrate Delores Bristol and remanded to the Potter County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Troopers reported that between June 12 and July 10, a person(s) broke into a Jersey Shore, Pa. man’s seasonal residence on Route 44, Stewardson. The person(s) took an axe and several bottles of alcohol and also entered an outhouse building and took a gasoline can. Troopers said about $200 in damage was done to the property.
