Police Reports From WFRM News


The theft of some parts from a skid-steer loader in Roulette Township over the past several months is being investigated by state police locally. Authorities say thieves stripped off all of the valuable parts from the machine owned by Ronald Onufry of Port Allegany while it was parked in a stone quarry north of Fessenden Road. The parts are valued at $6,000.

State police are also investigating the theft of a pistol in Sylvania Township. Deborah Appel of Plyville, Maryland told troopers she had last seen the black Smith and Wesson .357 revolver on her farm tractor while mowing 140 acres this past July 25 and 26. The gun is valued at $450.

Mansfield state police are continuing their investigation into an identity theft victimizing an Arnot woman. Someone obtained personal information about Jennifer Lewis and used it to open 13 credit card accounts in her name without her knowledge or permission.

The investigation is continuing into a harassment by telephone taking place last Thursday. in Clara Township. Someone made several annoying phone calls to the George Finster residence on Fishing Creek between 2:00 and 11:00 p.m.
