Songwriter's Roundtable Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008

Our last Roundtable before the fund raiser will be a super one, featuring a power house of songwriting and performing talent on the bill!

This month’s Songwriter’s Roundtable will feature three outstanding singer/songwriters at Ski Denton on Saturday, September 13th , where they will present a songwriter’s workshop from 3:00 to 4:00pm, and the Roundtable show from 7:00 to 10:30pm.

Golden voiced Canadian Eve Goldberg will detour from a very busy Canadian tour schedule to visit us here in Potter County. Her songs and performance move effortlessly between the many styles that have deeply influenced her, including folk, blues, bluegrass, swing, jazz, old-timey and gospel.

Born in London and raised in Los Angeles, award winning singer/songwriter/poet Terence Martin moved East in 1997 to become part of the flourishing NY acoustic music scene. Terence's songs are rich with poetic imagery and atmosphere, and he has amassed a stellar body of recorded work.

Maine singer/songwriter Jud Caswell has been heralded by sources all around the country as one of the finest singer/songwriters on the circuit today. He has garnered a multitude of awards for his incredibly moving songs and stories, and is truly a captivating performer.

Our openers for the September show will feature Jim Colbert, an exceptionally talented up and coming songwriter from the Bellefonte area, and special guest openers Gabe “Midnight Ghost” Trimbur, and Nate “Bob Dylan” Stilson, two very gifted local young talents.

The evening will also feature art work and photographs submitted for the “Year of the Barn” project presented by the PCFAC and the Northern Tier Cultural Alliance.

Meals will again be provided by the Second Street Roost from 6:00pm for $8, and tickets for the Roundtable are $10 adults, $5 under high school age.
