Betty L. Zipfel, 84, Center Township, PA

Betty L. Zipfel, 84, of Center Township, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11,2008, in her home.

Born Feb. 10, 1924, in Sigel, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Byrd and Grace (Payne) Allen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Zipfel, in 1994, and a daughter, Janet Zipfel.

Surviving are five sons and daughters-in-law, Charles A. and Carol Zipfel,Medina, Ohio; Phillip and Rosemary Zipfel, New London, Pa.; Steven and Loretta Zipfel, Southampton, Pa.; Jeffrey and Edith Zipfel, with whom she resided; Rev. Nathan and Darlene Zipfel, Johnstown, Pa.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Bernard Kirchhoff, IN, and Shirley and William Pierce, Brookville, Pa.; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren;brother, Stanley Pierce Jr., TN, and two sisters, Donna Wantje and Gayle Bair, both of Sigel, Pa.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at 1 p.m., in Woodland Cemetery, Potter County, Pa, where a memorial service will be conducted by her son, The Rev. Nathan Zipfel.

Local arrangements are being handled by the TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., CENTER TOWNSHIP, 3475 Brodhead Road, Monaca.
