Mary L. Gray, 44, Harrington, DE

Mary L. Gray, 44, of Harrington, DE, died Monday, October 27, 2008 in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE.

Born July 8, 1964, in Albuquerque, NM, she was the daughter of Richard and Carol Kirkpatrick Deiter.

On August 12, 2000, in Rehoboth Beach, DE, she married Charles A. Gray, who survives.

Mary was a graduate of Walnut Street Christian School in Jersey Shore, PA and Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY. After graduation, she went on a short term mission trip to Brazil. She was employed at the Deer Lake Children’s Home in Pennsylvania until she took a job with the Family Practice Center in Mifflinburg, PA.

She enjoyed crafts, stamping, and scrapbooking. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, who showed a compassion for others and who was always there to lend comfort and a joyful smile to others in need.

She was a member of the Calvary Wesleyan Church of Harrington.

Surviving besides her husband, Charles, are: a daughter, Marlee L. Gray at home; mother and step-father, Carol and Ray Espenshade of Durand, OK; two brothers, Randy (Dawn) Deiter of Coudersport, PA and David (Karla) Deiter of Roulette, PA; a sister, Mindy (Floyd) Houdeshell of Lewisburg, PA; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Dieter.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 1, 2008 at the Sweden Hill Cemetery, Coudersport, PA. The Rev. Peter J. Tremblay will officiate. Memorials may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.
