It was an honor, and a pleasure to know Mrs. Abbey. I came to know her while I was working as a nurse, and she was one of those patients you look forward to. So sweet, kind, and thoughtful. Mrs. Abbey knew my mother, Betty (Daugherty) Bretz, and her family, and told me many stories of past history. One day I had her over to my home for dinner, and we went shopping. We had so much fun! My children, and my husband came to love her as much as I did. Port Allegany will miss her. She will always be in the hearts of those she knew. God Bless her, and those that loved her.
