Visitors’ Center Coming To State Park

Potter County Today

A $20,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Lumber Heritage Region will allow for the addition of a Nature Tourism Business Incubator at the new visitors’ center being built at Sinnemahoning State Park in Potter and Cameron counties.

Mike Wennin, executive director of the Lumber Heritage Region, announced the grant at last week’s Potter County Commissioners’ meeting. He said the incubator would allow small businesses that offer products or services based on the natural environment to develop and, as they grow, relocate and clear the incubator for the next tenant.

Construction of the visitors’ center, shown in an artist’s rendition here, is scheduled to begin in April. It will spotlight the region’s history with a special focus on the people and wildlife of northcentral Pennsylvania, as well as nature-based tourism. Popular hiking, snowmobiling and skiing trails will be linked to the center.

They should put that 20k towards cleaning up the dam area and focus more on getting it filled so we can fish there again in 10 or 15 years.. STUPID IDEA ???
