Police Seeking Help Locating Missing Man
Kane-based state police are seeking help in locating a Leechburg man whose car was found over the weekend on the Township Line road near the Allegheny National Forest in Wetmore township. David Evans, 38, has been reported missing by state police in Kiski Valley. He’s described as being 5’2” and was wearing blue jeans and a ball cap when last seen. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call the Kane Barracks at 778-5555.

Electrical Problem Blamed for Fire at Roulette Home
The state police fire marshal says an electrical problem in the attic over a second floor bedroom was the cause of a fire Tuesday at around noon time at the home of John and Nancy Gregg on Burleson Avenue in the Village of Roulette. No estimate of damage was provided.

Seatbelt Usage Credited with Preventing Injuries
No one was hurt in a minor collision taking place Sunday night on the West Eldred Road in Eldred Township. State police said the collision occurred when a southbound Chevy S-10 driven by Logan Linnan of Smethport went out of control on the icy road, slid off the road, struck a guardrail and while spinning clockwise was hit by a Dodge Ram driven by Seth Howard of Turtlepoint. Authorities said both drivers and two 17 year old girls, passengers in each truck were wearing seatbelts at the time. Linnan is being cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.

Police Cite Several for Disorderly Conduct
Several disorderly conduct charges were investigated by area state police over the past few days. Coudersport-based state police have cited 47 year old Lee Vasko of Austin after he allegedly set off fireworks at his Thorn Street home at about 11:00 p.m. Christmas night. A 17 year old girl and 19 Jason Gutshall of Shinglehouse were cited after they became involved in an argument on Southwest Street in Coudersport at about 1:20 a.m. Christmas morning. Police said the argument was so loud, three people called 9-1-1. Gutshall is also charged with public drunkenness and underage drinking. And, 45 year old Barry Robinson of Mt. Jewett was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly “engaged in threatening and tumultuous behavior” on West Main Street in that town between 11:00 and 11:20 p.m. Friday night.
