Pick-ups Collide in Pike Township
Two people were hurt in a pick-up collision just before 1:00 p.m. Sunday on Route 6 in Pike Township. State police said the collision occurred when Edward Hermann III of Lititz, PA was unable to avoid running his Ford F-150 into the back of a Dodge Ram stopped on the road while headed west at the intersection with the Loucks Mills Road. Hermann and his passenger Kyle Proctor of Mt.Joy were not hurt but the other driver, Thomas Raub of Towanda, PA and his passenger John Raub of Galeton both suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Charles Cole Hospital for treatment. Hermann is being charged with failing to drive at a safe speed.

No injuries reported in One-Vehicle Crash
A Gaines driver escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash earlier Sunday on the Yahn road in Pike township. Troopers said Jessica Luke was traveling east whenher Susuki XL7 went off the road and struck a guardail and tree before coming to rest. Luke is also being charged with failing to drive at a safe speed.

Tioga County Child dies as a Result of Farm Accident
In news from Tioga County, a two year old boy has died from injuries suffered in a farming accident Saturday afternoon on the Kilbourn Farm along Shanty Hollow Road in Union Township. State police said the youngster, whose name was not released, became entangled in the PTO shaft of a Farmall Farm tractor as implements were being switched on the tractor. The boy was taken to Troy Hospital and flown by helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville where he succumbed a few hours later.
