Tyrone Man Jailed For Threatening Email To Rendell

E-mail to governor laced with violence

By Kay Stephens,
Altoona Mirror

TYRONE - A Tyrone man charged with threatening Gov. Ed Rendell told a state trooper that he would not harm the governor but wouldn't care if someone else does.

Vincent Lee Stone Jr., 53, of 762 Washington Ave. remains in Blair County Prison today, where he was taken Wednesday after Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller of Tyrone set bail at $100,000 cash.

State police at Hollidaysburg charged Stone with terroristic threats, harassment and ethnic intimidation. They opened an investigation after the governor's office reported receiving an e-mail from Stone Saturday night that contained direct and indirect threats toward the governor.

"Dear Big Ed. I pray every night that a Christian or Arab puts a bullet through your corrupt jewish (sic) skull," Stone wrote in the e-mail. More....

Editor's note: At least the man got a response to his email to the Governor, he has never answered my emails.

Fast Eddie has not answered a phone call or letter from me in the last 5 years, HE HAS NO BACKBONE or BALLS!

I do not agree with the bullet threat but atleast he got his point across to the jackass.

That's right because us "peaon" tax payers are not his "big union" buddies that have been in his pocket for years!

I was not rude or bitchy to Mr. Rendell or his staff until after 2 years of the run many people would wait that long before they got fed up with their governor?! Probable not as many as you think.

Now 5 years later he has finally realized that we are in a recession. Imagine that!

But I do have to admit that there are a lot of other state officials that have taken my calls over the years and have been interested and helpful. Our votes mean more to some.
