4 Injured In West Eldred Road Head-on Crash

WESB News: 01/01/09 - Two Vehicle Accident Sends 4 to Hospital

Four people were injured in a two vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on West Eldred Road.

State Police say a car driven by 80 year-old Erika Lentz of Coudersport entered the opposite lane of traffic and struck a vehicle driven by 70 year-old Ronald Benjamin of Smethport.

Lentz suffered major injuries and was taken to BRMC. A passenger in her car 55 year-old Mark Lentz was hospitalized with moderate injuries. Benjamin and 68 year-old Anita Benjamin were both taken to Charels Cole memorial hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

This is the correct information.. Erika Lentz was taken to CCMH with severe injuries.. Mark Lentz was treated and released. The Benjamin's were taken to BRMC where they were treated and released.

80-year-olds should NOT be driving!! With our increased aging population, more elderly are still on the roads, and they are a menace. I see them all the time, terrible drivers!

easy with the brush stroke catagorization of all seniors being bad drivers. sweeping genralizations are indicitive of a lack of intelligence.
