Neighbors React To Standoff--WNEP TV Video

Maybe the utility company should have sent a letter of a date and time this employee was going to show up with details that the service was not going to be shut off only limited!

I find it hard to believe the homeowner knew this and had this type of reaction.

But with things as bad as they are people are having a hard time staying current with all their bills and it will probable get worse before it gets better.
Since we hard working tax payers do not get the big bail outs the banks and insurance companies are getting!

Let's not lay blame on the Utility Company for trying to collect money owed to them or for trying to limit their losses with load limiters. They let us use all the electricity we want for a month before they bill us. Shame on them for wanting their money? I don't think so!

How many gas stations can you go to and fill up your car then just tell the attendent "Don't worry, I'll see you next month and pay you in full!"? Utility companies do this for all of their customers EVERY month!

Homeowners receive a bill every month, if they don't pay they get late notices, if they still don't pay they get more notices. The homeowner probably did know they were getting a visit and made a choice to react the way she did.

There is help out there if you can't pay your bill. Call your utility and they will be happy to point you in the right direction. They can also help you to reduce your bills too. Just pick up the phone and call.
