Eldred Driver Unhurt
An Eldred woman escaped injury in a one-vehicle mishap Monday morning on Center Street in that town. State police said Natalie Whittemore was traveling west down a hill when her Dodge Dakota skidded sideways and as Whittemore tried to regain control the compact went off the road, struck a fire hydrant and spun 90 degrees before finally coming to rest.

Several Area Residents Cited for DUI
State police across the region have recently made several DUI arrests. William Sallade, 55, of Coudersport was cited after state police investigated a “non-reportable” crash when Sallade drove his vehicle on top of some guardrails along Route 6 near Howards Inc. at about 10:30 p.m. on January 14. Dale Terrett,47,of Shinglehouse was arrested for DUI after he was pulled over for an equipment violation at the intersection of Horse Run Road and Route 44 in that town early last Friday morning. Nicholas Keagel, 23, of Coudersport was charged when police discovered Keagle’s disabled vehicle on Route 6 near Erway’s Restaurant early Sunday morning. Walter Potter, 67,of Coudersport was cited when he pulled into his driveway along the Potter Game Club Road in Eulalia Township Sunday afternoon while state police investigated a domestic incident involving his wife and step-daughter. And, Charles Fanning IV, 29 of Bradford was arrested by Kane-based state police when they pulled him over for a traffic violation on Elm Street in Bradford early Saturday morning and allegedly found to be driving under the influence. Charges against all of the suspects are being filed in the appropriate district court. More News....
