Any updates?
I hope no one was hurt... There is all ways snow so high on both sides of the road when the wind blows there is a white out!
I wonder why the state quit putting snow fence up there? Probable that order came from Harrisburg, "textbook" does not all was work in these hills!

So true..this year Fox Hill Rd. has not been well cared for at all compared to 49 and the snow drifts
have been awful. We need the snow fence up here. Why would they deprive us of such a safety net? Poor cost cutting decision!! We
all feel unsafe who are required
to use that road.

I came accross there last week and the state had a snowblower blowing all of the drifts back and cleaning the road. If anyone goes accross there very often they would know that when it is windy, the snow can drift into the road in less than an hour. By the way..the state, county, and townships quit spending money on snow fence because so much of it came up "missing" every year and it also cost too much to put it up and take it down every year.

Back in the 60's they put snow fence up and I still seen conditions like anonymous described. When the snow got so high the snow fence wouldn't care for it. It would go right over the fence. So what do you do? Shovel the fence out? And way back then they had to use the snow blower, making walls of snow on each side. Mr. Negative is right, Snow fence got stolen. I know, I worked for PennDOT back then.
