Derrick City Fire Department Needs Volunteers

WESB News: 02/03/09 - DCVFD Has Less Money, Fewer Volunteers

The Derrick City Volunteer Fire Department is taking a hit from the economy, too.

President Bill Fargo told Foster Township supervisors during their meeting last night that contributions are down $7,000 from last year.

The department is also still looking for volunteers. Supervisor Chris Wolcott thanked the volunteers who are currently with the department for their service and dedication. The department will have a booth at the Kinzua Outdoor and Travel Show this month in the hopes of recruiting more members.
