Frances Elizabeth Mulvihill, 92, Crosby, PA

Crosby - Frances Elizabeth Mulvihill, 92, of Crosby, died Friday (February 6, 2009).

She was born Sept. 7, 1916 in Crosby, a daughter of Michael F. and Grace E. Curran McKeirnan. On January 25, 1941, in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, she married Lloyd E. Mulvihill, who died Feb. 10, 1987.

Mrs. Mulvihill was a graduate of Colegrove High School and a graduate of Westbrook Academy in Olean, NY. She was an Executive Secretary, employed by the McKean County Sheriff's Dept. She retired in 1981 after many years of devoted service.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, St. Elizabeth Women's Club, the Catholic Daughters of America, the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 Auxillary of Crosby, for over 50 years, and the Norwich Township Fire Dept. Auxillary.

She was devoted to her faith, her church, family and friends. She loved to play cards, bingo, and travelling. She also enjoyed crafts, ceramics, and framing creative scenes with dried flowers.

She is survived by
one son: Michael L. Mulvihill of Bradford, PA, one brother, Mickey McKeirnan of Emporium, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Janet Putnam and Nan Tessena; 4 brothers; John, Robert, Joe, and Bill McKeirnan.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8 pm at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport, PA. The Rosary will be said at 4 pm, Sunday, in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Monday, in St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, with the Rev. Samuel B. Slocum, as Celebrant. Committal will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Smethport.
