They should do a drug testing and get rid of those who test positive and keep the good EMPLOYEEs. There are those who work there that know who the drug users are.

good choice of elimination, said that all along. most companies now adays do that, especially those that are in the production of what they do manufacture.

wow, thats actually a pretty good idea...

yes but if they did that probbaly salary folks would be gone!

Drug testing cost the company money.. Usually between $100-$180 per employee. The company is trying to save money.

Yes, Good idea, they should start with salary, the way they run the plant, they have to be on drugs!!!

they did away with one salary job alltogether how come there was not more salary let go instead of hourly.

Working on Government contacts should come with mandatory testing of all.
Believe me, there would be more than just a couple out on the floor. Maybe a little reward from the company would get the names

get over the salary person that was cut. get a life.

ok- so it would be costing the company some $$ to do drug testing, but gee, in the long run it would save the company $$. i say - do it. maybe then the one & only salary person that got cut could have had her job saved!

So you want a reward from the company for turning in ur fellow employees drug problem? Isn't that against our union brotherhood?

Anonymous said...

You are telling your Union Members to support Drug Users.
Not much of a Union.
Keep the trash and get rid of the good Union Members

nobody mentioned of turning them in, just random drug testing. alot of companies do this, including the school. i am really surprised they dont do this @ Morgan with all the governmental work they do. i bet it will be the next thing coming for them.

One small bit of information was left out of this news bit......It is still voluntary. Nobody has been forced on layoff. So the only hourly people that are gone, are gone on their own free will. As for salary...well there was and still are to many, mostly wanna be engineers. engineers that still dont know what "process control" is.

I would like to say one thing. Drug testing should be done! we only get tested when if some one get's hurt and another thing why would some one say to layoff the drug user's thats just dumb! It's voluntary they would have to give them a call back date
